Edward Joseph Christiansen was born April 22, 1938 in Valparaiso, IN and passed away peacefully May 26, 2022 in Tacoma, WA. Raised in Aurora, Ed then moved his family west in 1974. After spending 4 years in Beaverton, OR, the family settled in Bellevue WA. In their later years Ed and Nina lived on Anderson Island and finally in Tacoma.
Ed was the consummate salesman – always thinking about what would fulfill each customer’s need in the best way. He also considered the future of a project and helped customer’s plan out their future needs as well. Ed worked for Barber-Greene, was a vice president at Clyde West, and then owned and operated Westec and Aggtec.
In his spare time Ed liked to be on the water be it sailing or fishing. He loved that hunt for musky! Ed also heartily cheered on his beloved Zags during every basketball game he could find on TV. He really thought this past tourney was finally Gonzaga’s year.
Ed is predeceased by brothers John and Allen and grandson Imaj. He is survived by his wife Nina (Madden) of 65 yrs, children Lynne (Jim), Karen, Jack (Ann), Janet, Dave (Darlene) and grandchildren Jenae, Sarah, Peter (Lauren), Becca, Rachel, Jamie.
