James Carr, 85, of Spanaway, WA passed away April 10, 2022, He was united in marriage to Hazel Carr on January 8, 1959, in Edinburgh, Scotland. Hazel passed away June 24, 2013.
He is survived by his daughter Toni Yvonne Hingleton, grandsons, Tyler James Hingleton & Darian Maxwell Hingleton (all of Spanaway, WA), Sister Ozeal Mayfield of Shreveport, LA and a large extended family, both in the States and in Scotland.
James served more than 20 years in the United States Air Force. After retirement from the Military, he was a Civil Service worker and worked many years for the Department of Defense in several different capacities. He retired in 2001.
He will be deeply missed by his immediate family, extended family and by all his many friends in the Tacoma area, around the country and abroad. He was a beautiful, giving person who made an impact on all those He met. He loved his family, getting together with friends and the Seahawks. Words cannot express the love everyone had for him and how much he will be missed.
Burial services will be held Friday, May 13th at 1:30pm at Tahoma National Cemetery.
