Alice Virginia Wagner
She was a Finnish girl, and proud of it.
Born in Seattle, Washington on September 13,1925, she was raised in the Scandia area of Poulsbo, Washington. She attended Pearson school and graduated from North Kitsap High School. She later attended business school.
They raised two daughters, Cheryl and Doreen. Alice retired from Puget Sound Navel Shipyard after over 30 years of service. She worked in I.R.O. and received several awards for her excellent performance. Alice loved gardening. Any kind of bulb there was she planted in the yard. She could be heard singing favorite hymns while she pulled weeds! She did beautiful embroidery work and very much enjoyed animals.
She was a member of Kitsap Campers, Silverdale Grange, Maranatha Circle and Bunco. She was a faithful member of Lincoln Avenue Bible Church for over 70 years, and a dear friend to so many.
Alice entered the gates of heaven, Saturday, August 15, 2020, her girls by her side. One month from turning 95, she lived a long and sacrificial life, always putting others before herself.
Alice is proceeded in death by her parents, Felix and Julia Maki, her husband, Homer, son-in-law Vincent McAuley and all six of her siblings, Irene, Eddie, Ernie, Roy, Ethel and Ray.
She is survived by her daughters Cheryl (Jim) Parmele, Doreen (David) Kipfer. ; 5 grandchildren, Jeffrey (Catherine) McAuley, Philip (Brandi) McAuley, Jeremy (Mandy) Kipfer, Nathan (Casey) Kipfer, and Courtney (Brad) Storey and ten great grandchildren, Ilias, Austin, Maddox, Lennox, Blake, Hannah, Kylie, Emma, Caleb and Laney. She loved them all dearly.
Services will be held August 30th at, one o`clock, at Lincoln Avenue Bible Church. Memorial donations, in memory of Alice, may be made to LABC, 1250 Lincoln Avenue, Bremerton, Washington 98337.
All who were touched by Alice may rest assured that she is now at peace with her heavenly Father.
