Susan was born August 07, 1953, in Longview Washington. She attended public school in Portland Oregon and graduated from Oregon College of Education in Monmouth Oregon, with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Susan met her husband of 46 years, Steve at a Christian Fellowship while attending OCE. Susan and Steve were married August 23, 1975, in Portland, Oregon. Although Susan wanted to be a Paleontologists her parents, Rolf and Bernice Didrickson (deceased) convinced Susan to study education. Her education became a passion and evolved into a 30-year career. Susan loved the third graders but also taught 1 – 3 and spent several years as a Librarian. Because of her desire to not only teach but love her students she quite often was given the “tuff” kids. After retiring Susan helped at Experience Church Co-op School, traveled to Nepal with a mission team and enjoyed traveling to new places and crafting. The most important part of retirement was connecting with her children and grandchildren.
