Obituaries

I played with Rodger in the North Winds Quintet for many years. In addition to the musical friendship we shared, I appreciated his quiet, dry sense of humor and our chats about movies and even pickled herring! I treasure those many memories, musical and otherwise. He's in the great orchestra in the sky, playing "I Attempt from Love's Sickness to Fly," a French horn feature we played at many weddings--a beautiful piece with a pretty terrible name. I send heartfelt condolences to Deb and the rest of the family at this difficult time and wish them peace in the knowledge of his great love for them.
