Rodger Scott Deardorf
February 5, 1952 - July 4, 2022
Rodger Scott Deardorf passed peacefully away on July 4, 2022, at the age of 70 with his devoted wife, Debra, by his side. Rodger was born in Dayton, Ohio on February 5, 1952, to George and Charlotte Deardorf. He resided in the Olympic View area of Silverdale, Washington since 1977, where he raised his family on his small farm that was handed down through his grandfather.
A craftsmen / carpenter by trade, Rodger took pride in a job well done. His was an honest, quiet life, shared by his wife of 47 years, his four sons and two grandsons, enjoying the things he loved most in life: family, music, hiking, taking in the beauty of the Pacific Northwest / Olympic Mountains. His love of music led him to play French horn in the Bremerton Symphony for many years. Making music with a large group of people was a thrill for him.
Rodger will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his wife Debra; sons, Jason (Kassie), Tristan (Moriah), Devon, and Christopher Ward; grandsons, Kaden, and Taran; siblings, Barbara Benson, Susan Markey (Bob), Chuck Deardorf (Kelly), and Raymond Deardorf.
