Regina Mae Miller

October 8, 1931 - February 4, 2021

Regina Mae Miller passed away peacefully from natural causes on Thursday, February 4, 2021, at the Angel Guard Adult Family Home in Tacoma, Washington, where she had resided for the past two years. She was born in Princess Anne, Maryland on October 8, 1931 to Reginald Hardesty & Mabel Alice Webster Wilson. Regina was the third of five Wilson daughters who grew up in Princess Anne and where she graduated from Washington High School in 1948.

In 1951, she married a career Navy man, B. C. Kelley, and, while crisscrossing the USA, as a military family, gave birth to 4 children. Their marriage of 16 years ended in Hanford, California, where Regina decided to stay. She later married Charles R. Martin and they were together 12 years until his death in 1981. In 1983 she married her 3rd husband, Floyd Miller, and they were together for 16 years until Floyd’s death in 1999. A few years later, she moved to Washington State to be closer to some of her children & grandchildren. Regina was an active AA member for over 50 years and, being an accomplished piano player, regularly volunteered her talent at her church.

She is survived by one sister, Carolyn Marie Dobyns of Grasonville, Maryland; her four children, Bill Kelley, Jr. (Shirley) of Federal Way, WA; Gina Folk of Sumner, WA; Cheryl Kelley (Paul Yasaitis) of Lodi, CA and Richard Kelley of Shelton, WA; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves over 40 nieces and nephews, most of whom are in Maryland.
Besides her parents and husbands, Regina was preceded in death by her sisters Lorraine Long, Jeanette Croswell, Betty Simpkins and by her first great-grandchild, Angel Lynea Hopkins.

Per her request, Regina’s ashes will be returned to the city that was her home for over 40 years, Hanford, CA.
