Patricia “Pat” Nozzarella, 87 years old, passed away in her home on July 10th, 2022, in Tacoma, Washington.

Born on January 16, 1935, in Warren, Ohio.  Pat was married to her husband Joseph for 41 years.  From Ohio they moved to California, Arizona and made Seattle/Tacoma their permanent residence for 56 years where they raised their 3 daughters.

One of 7 children (3 girls and 4 boys) born to James McVicker and Marie Hamorsky McVicker.  She is survived by her two daughters Patty Wright (spouse-Frank) and Cathi Petramalo (spouse-Tom), 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph, daughter Nunni,  her parents, brothers and sisters.

Pat loved life more than anything.  She had many careers throughout her life.  She ironed for Coca Cola, owned, and operated a Rubber Stamp company in Federal Way; cleaned for the family business, but the job she loved most was caring for family.  Pat was eventually promoted from grandma to Mimi, and that is how the world knew her in her final years.  Pat spent the past 10 years volunteering her days at Life Christian Academy in Tacoma, while caring for her two great granddaughters.  She lived her life full of service, compassion, and love.  Pat enjoyed vacationing in Mexico and Las Vegas with family and friends.

The family greatly appreciated the excellent care provided by CHI Franciscan Hospice and Narrow’s Glen in the last two weeks of her life.

At her request, there will be no services.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating, in Pat’s name to Franciscan Hospice.   (Https://www.vmfh.org/our-foundations/franciscan-foundation/donate-now).  Click on designation, scroll to Franciscan Hospice and Palliative Care.

We will honor her the rest of our days by living life to the fullest.  Live each day as those it’s your last.   Until we meet again – Soar with the angels.
