Katherine E Graham

May 17, 1922 - January 13, 2020

Katherine E Graham was born the daughter of Huddle and Leona Early. Katherine was preceded in death by her parents and husband Robert (Buster) Graham Sr. Her two sisters and brother in laws, Virginia and Thomas Flippen, Ruth and Raymond Swaim and her brother H.W Early. Three sons, James Larue, Joe Larue and Robert (Bobby) Graham Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Dari Hines and Phyllis Edinburgh whom she loved like a daughter and daughter in law Charlotte Larue as well as her sister in law Carol Early. Her grandchildren Stephanie Matherne and her husband Michael, Marla Hart and husband Derrick, Lorita Edwards and husband Mark, Yolanda Macelvey and husband Bobby, Jimmy Larue and wife Trisha, Ricky Larue and wife Ellen, Kecia Helms and husband Paul, Deneen Whitaker and husband David, Carrie-ann Cox and husband Michael and 35 great and great-great grandchildren who she was very proud of as well as many special nieces and nephews who meant the world to her.

Since moving to Washington since 2012 she has lived with her daughter Dari, granddaughter Stephanie and her husband Michael as well as her four great grandsons Ryan, Jeremy, Brenden and Tristen. Who all helped make her last few years very special and entertaining. She had many fun adventures in the mountains and snow.

Katherine worked for twenty-one years at Young’s news agency. She was vice president of BPW, she was a counselor for the girl’s scout camp for many years. She spent fifteen years traveling and camping with her husband Buster and their many family and friends. Katherine attended the Paris Church of God where she taught Sunday school. After moving to Washington, she attended Celebration Lutheran Church in Puyallup, Washington. Katherine lived her life for her family and God and loved unconditionally.

A memorial will be held for Katherine on Saturday, January 18th, 2020 at 10am at Celebration Lutheran Church. Pastor Kyle Merkle will officiate. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Paris, Texas with Pastor Beverley Olson officiating. Katherine will be laid to rest there next to her beloved husband. Katherine will be deeply missed by her family and friends. A special thank you to Franciscan Hospice house in Washington for making her last days as comfortable and peaceful as possible.
