Charles Heyer

March 11, 1951 - August 27, 2007

Charles Heyer
of Bremerton
March 11, 1951 to Aug. 27, 2007

Preceded in death by his mother Lois in 2001, Charlie “Tuna” is survived by his life partner of 20 years, Mary Paulson; his father, Willard Heyer; his stepmother Mary; sister, Lynn Strine; her husband, Paul; their daughter, Carly; his life partner’s children, Pam and Terie; and two granddaughters, Cortney and Nikki.

A graduate of South Kitsap in 1969, he went on to further his education for two years at Olympic College and another two-year program at the University of Puget Sound earning a degree.

He went on in life to a 30-year career with the government retiring in March of 2006 as a crane inspector at Bangor.

His love of mechanical things would lead him through many journeys in the automotive scene. From body repair to drag racing NASCAR and the like.

An inspiration to many, a friend to more.

A patient and meticulous individual who will be deeply missed.

A celebration of his life will be held at the Summit Ave Presbyterian Church, 403 Summit Ave., Bremerton, on Tuesday, Sept. 4 2007 at 2 p.m.
