ALMA ESMERALDA ESTRIBOR – September 14, 1943 – April 20, 2021

Alma Esmeralda Estribor, Nanay, 77 of Bremerton, WA was called home on Tuesday April 20th, 2021 with her family by her side.

She was born in Igbaras, Iloilo Philippines on September 14, 1943 to Feliciano & Adelina Esmeralda. She married the late Andres Estribor, on May 30, 1964 and together they had 6 children.

Alma graduated from San Augustin University in the Philippines obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Education. She was a grade school Teacher and continued her teaching career upon relocating to Washington State with her family in 1981. For many years Alma embraced teaching and working with children and ended her career at Jackson Park Child Development Center, retiring in 2015.

She was a devoted Catholic and a long time parishioner of Holy Trinity Church. She found much joy working in her garden, daily walks with her sister, spending time with her family and watching the Game Show channel.

Alma will be missed, but her legacy will forever live through her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Vincent & David and is now reunited with her husband, Andy.

She is survived by her children: Nelson (Joanne), Nerissa (Chad), Jun (Jean-Jean), Judith (Dan), Claire (Tony), and Louie. Eleven grandchildren: Josiah, Aj, Jonel, Casey, Dakota, Thea, Angelina, Jesil, Chantal, Isaiah, and John Andrei. Four great-grandchildren: Lilyanne, Marceline, Andrew, and JayRoyce. Her sister Lagrimas (Ed) of WA and brothers Feliciano Jr., Johnny, and Mario of the Philippines and numerous nephews and nieces.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 30th, 2021 at Holy Trinity Church on Pine Road. Viewing will be at 10 a.m. with mass to follow at 11 a.m. – Due to COVID-restrictions, there will be no gathering reception after mass. Please contact a member of her family for attendance to services. Interment will be at her birthplace in Igbaras, Iloilo Philippines.
