With great sorrow we say goodbye to a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Betty (Strayer) Tomlin (89) of Tacoma, WA passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 15, 2012.

Betty was preceded in death by her mother and father; a sister and four brothers. Betty is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Norman; brother Vernon Strayer; daughters Norma Lee Tomlin and Mary Barnes; grandchildren Kristin and Jennifer; great-grandson Zachary.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and was a very active in boating, as a former member of the Tacoma Yacht Club and Day Island Club. Her smile was infectious and will be greatly missed by all.

A memorial for family and friends will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 29th, 2012 at the home of John and Mary Barnes, 5422 21st Ave Ct. N.E., Tacoma, WA 98422.
