Margaret Helen Savage’s yearlong battle with cancer ended peacefully on Sunday, May 6. A Tacoman from birth, Margaret graduated from UPS, where she met and married her husband, Willis Savage. She was a first grade teacher briefly and a homemaker for much of her life. Family became Margaret’s priority and greatest joy as she raised her three children after her husband’s sudden death in 1989. She will be missed by her daughter Ruth Kelly, her husband Tim, and their son Will; by her son David Savage, his wife Michele, and their son Isaac; and by her daughter Diane Savage and her husband Ben. Margaret was looking forward to the births of two more grandchildren this year.
An exuberant, loving, generous woman, Margaret made new friends wherever she went. She enjoyed knitting, crochet, needlepoint, and gifting others with her handiwork. She also loved to be with children and worked as a nursery care provider at UPPC.
There will be a viewing from 4 to 8 pm on Friday, May 11 at Tuell-McKee Funeral Home,
